The module ‘guest book’ allows visitors to your website to enter comments and feedback. The entries are sorted by their entry time. Changes to layout and the number of comments per page displayed can be done easily. If the number of entries exceeds the maximum number of comments per page, any older entry will be moved to additional pages.
The user can enter an email address, a name and details of their comment through the ‘Comment’’ web page. The guest book will send a confirmation e mail to the visitor. Inappropriate entries can be deleted. Because all email functions of the bluetronix software support POP3, SMTP and IMAP, you can configure your system to sent a guest book comment straight away to your mobile phone or PDA.
While in editing mode, click Modules -> secure areas, select a Directory and click Create guest-book. The module now creates the underlying database and any files required. The guest book is accessible via URL http://www.yourdomain.com/guestbook/guestbook.html. To link your guest book to your menu, click Edit menu, create a new menu item and name it ‘guest book’, then click on Create link and select ‘guestbook.html’ in the ‘guestbook’ folder. Save the menu and check the link.
Changing and deleting guest book comments can easily be done via the database buttons . While a file is in editing mode you can find these buttons next to each entry representing a dataset from the database. By clicking on Edit dataset the dataset will be opened in the Database editor.
